I'm going to declare MCB - neuro, and I have some basic questions for the MCB majors out there...

Do I take Bio 1A before 1B?

Is it possible to double major with the courseload?

What are you doing now (if you have graduated)?

How available is research (competitiveness, access to profs, meaningful research ect...)

Above all,

Do you like it?

LH: so whaddya have to get on Bio 1A Mt1 to declare?

oh ok thanks

are there any old bio 1a test banks you know of? prof doudna is doing the mt1 material but meighan didnt put any of her past exams in the exam reader for some reason…

that’s because i’ve never heard of doudna…

The order in which you take Bio 1A and Bio 1B does not matter.

It is quite feasible to major in MCB and double major in another field. I know a MCB-Neuro major who also majored in Cognitive Science.

I am doing things here and there now that I’ve graduated.

Research is available, but competitive to get into. If you can’t get in through URAP, then email professors individually.

I liked the curriculum-- it focused more on the process of logical scientific thinking than strict memorization.

Thanks Leftist and tasty beef - good advice

I def like the idea of the cirriculum not being based on rote memorization; sounds very appealing.
