I believe they get a different form anyway? But yeah that’s probably a good idea.

If it is the same test can you say lucky?

Now I’m really scared.

I thought compared to all the practice tests that I took, math, reading and science were exceptionally easy…but maybe that’s just cuz I’m a math person.

Am I the only one who thought that a few questions on English were kind of iffy?

So i know the answer to 60 was 50 degrees, but was that C or D?

ljycde- the English questions were strange. I usually score 35-36 on the English and I thought that some of them were really weird.

The reading wasn’t too hard, but I thought that the last two passages (about the musician and Shakespeare) were much more straightforward than the first two. For some reason, I had more trouble understanding the train passage and Polynesian island passage. As for the math, it was very doable until I’d say number 50- that’s where I started guessing. The science was difficult.

Also, did anyone think that we had an awful essay prompt? I felt like there was nothing really to argue for both sides.

Oh well, at least it is over.

Does anyone remember the question about why the palm tree as a landmark phrase was important? I don’t think that was the exact question…but it was the first question of the second reading passage.

Also, the question with “in which doing so,” “in so doing,” etc. I think I put “in so doing,” but all of the responses sounded incorrect to me, to be honest.

the palm tree as a landmark was to show how hard it was for those polynesian guys to navigate or something along those lines (cuz, if a palm tree is the highest point- it’d be hard to identify the island).

I also had the same feeling about the “in so doing” question. I put “in so doing”, but tbh none of the options seemed very appropriate. I’m pretty sure something did have to be changed though.

What was the answer to the math problem that asked for an answer in cubic yards? Something that had to do with the flower border? I realized I skipped that problem somehow and was forced to guess B because the test was about to end. also another one I was confused about, the one that gave the volume of a rectangular prism I believe? Said the width and the height were the same or something, what’s the length? The volume was 128 cm^3

My daughter said that the English was trickier than what she has experienced on practice tests, and she has seen some recent tests. Normally she does very well on the English and she found some of the questions to be tricky. She also put " in so doing."

The length was 8.

Thanks- I put those same answers. Does anyone remember the question in the first passage of the Reading section (train passage) that asked which of the following questions did the passage not answer? And also, (same passage) how did the narrator look back on his hometown?

Oh please let it be!

With the exception of science, I’d say the curves in Test 2 of the Red Book are most accurate

Man if these curves are right… my improvement will be much higher than I first thought.

Which question was the “easily understood” one on the english section?

The google doc says easily understood is the answer but I don’t remember that question at all :o

I’ve heard that English curves rarely change, and that getting just one question wrong brings you down to a 35.

I took the ACT in october, and my scores were:
E- 35
M- 30
R- 36
S- 32
C- 33.25 [the .25 was just so obnoxious -.- hence I took it in December again]

I’m hoping for/predicting:
E- 34+
M- 32+
R- 33+
S- 32+

Was it just me or was the math this time…more decent? Bleh, could have been under thinking it the whole time- my gut feelings can either be on the dot or completely off.
Then again, during the break I heard a lot of people complaining about how they left so many math and english problems blank because they couldn’t get to them. So, I don’t know.

Science was okay- I began having migraine symptoms during that section and I was dying- I just hope that pain didn’t cost me a lot of points on that section, since I want to improve it.

Also is anyone absolutely sure about the unusual fossil one? Answer choices were beak, leg bones, claw, and feather

Could someone post the Google doc link again please?

Im feeling
M -0
R -1
S -5(being genrous)
W -5
Essay 6 maybe 5
Can someone give me a score approximation please?

@PSAT, i’d guess that’d be a 36M, 35R, 31/32S, 31E → so high 33 maybe 34?

what do you think would be a:
E -1
M -0
R -0
S -6 (lol this went bad)
