**December 14 ACT Thread**

had begun^ and @georgetown that wasn’t an answer i don’t think… and if it was i don’t think it would make much sense because to make sport of is to make it easy

^^I’ts had begun, just looked it up

How many “No Changes” did you guys get?

Jman yeah that wasn’t the wording but I can’t remember. Maybe you’re right maybe you’re wrong. Who knows!

@XAQXAQ did you actually count?

Wait, I thought make a sport out of it was an answer?!

anyone else have trouble with the last 5-10 on the math?

ACT, they were referring back to the passage where it said “they made sport out of it”, therefor the answer was it was easy to get through it

Okay, for the essay, I couldn’t think of a concrete example at all, so I did one of the biggest stretches ever – tell me if this makes sense (kind of)

I argued that students should teach students
One of my paragraphs discussed how teachers don’t understand the stress/difficulties faced by students. I related this to Frederick Douglass, stating that when he was searching for education, he couldn’t find anyone to teach him because no one understood what he was going through as a slave. I wrote it very “nicely,” and it sounds good - but will the rater view this as stupid, and penalize me?

actblows- ah! Gotchya. I knew i had something like that.

omg, jamesjunkers, I actually find that kind of funny - i think you have a 50-50 shot - either the raters will love it or hate it, but that’s my opinion. Hopefully others, who have expirience will help you

also on the canoe passage, does anyone remember another “most nearly means” question where the answer was like they had to commit to memory the locations of the islands ??

does anyone remember what letter the answer for 60 on the math section was? I know the answer was 50 degrees, but was that C or D?

jman – as i said before, i think i said the memory answer

actblows- had begun

well, the directions clearly stated take one of the two positions or make your own one. I don’t see why it’s wrong, as long as you wrote it in a creative way.

I said that they had to memorize the locations too.

awesome. then i think i got a 36 in reading… can’t think of one i got wrong! finally!

Did anyone else think the Shakespeare passage was the hardest? I certainly thought it was.

Anyone remember the question about ‘easily understood’ for the english section? People on the google doc are discussing it but I don’t remember it at all
