If they mail them thursday or fri, does that mean that I can call and ask them if I got in because mail might take two days to reach my house, which means that if mailed on fri, I would have to wait till Monday (after school too) to know.

In their defense, they did have a kajillion more apps this year. :[ I hope New York isn't too far away. T__________T I've realized only last week that the decision from my first choice will be coming in the next week, and I've been dying since.

i also would not like to hear about my deferral over the phone. hopefully it will come by saturday, although if its getting mailed out the day before, i seriously doubt that. how is everyone holding up? i personally feel like i'm about to implode from all the tension - the waiting is driving me crazy!

You guys can't complain! I go out of town Saturday and don't get back until December 27th! And I live in San Diego, CA so there's no way it will get to me in one-two days.
The anticipation could potentially make my vacation slightly unwholesome.

As far as last year went, I checked the mail every day the week before the 15th, and lo and behold, it came on the 15th. I live about 30 minutes out of DC, too.

I, on the other hand, would love for the 15th to take forever to come around. Too many finals...

Everyone else at my school applied to schools that notify them online. AS;DLFKASJDF Everyone will know monday where they're going to be going (or not) and I'll still be waiting at the mailbox...

i stole this from standford's forum and made one for us. it is a countdown to september 15 5:00 PST (just to account for everyone's mail coming in)
That is of course if they send it out thursday.

Ya I was working in admissions the other day and they said the 13th or 14th they should be mailing them out. You might want to check back to this time last year on the board and figure out how long you'll be waiting based on where you live. You west coasters will be waiting a while if I remember correctly.

I live like 20 mins from DC so I'll probably get it on the 14/15th..which is bad because I have 2 bday/holiday parties to go to and I'll probably be sobbing through both of them when i get deferred...great.
