Anyone have any educated guesses or insider info? Thanks :)

I have no clue, lol…do you know how the decisions will be released? Via email, online, or postal mail?

They’re coming by snail mail, unfortunately. And solely based on the fact that they supposedly mailed them on March 27th last year (according to a list on CC), I would guess maybe the middle/end of next week? I’m thinking that they have to send the letters out at the beginning of next week so they can make it to mostly everyone, no matter how far from D.C., by April 1st (which is a Sunday, so by Saturday since that’s the last day for mail before the 1st.)
All just guesses, though! I hope someone calls and finds out when they mail them for sure so I can figure out when I’m supposed to get it.

I think they were mailed on Friday 3/25 last year; if they are on the same schedule, they should be mailed this Friday 3/23. Good luck to everyone!

The admittance letter for S was dated 3/25 last year. It’s all snail mail and small envelopes. You should have it by the 31st as the 1st is a Sunday this year.

Yes, last year they were mailed out on Friday, March 25.

Last year’s acceptance thread had one person in Ohio and one in Massachusetts saying they got the letter on Monday, March 28.

Also EA was mailed on December 9th this year which was a Friday and if they continue with their trend of mailing on a Friday (and don’t wait until the 30th so it will get to everyone after 1st) it will be mailed in TWO DAYS!

That means by Tuesday I will know where I will be spending the next four years of my life. Basically I’m terrified.

I called them today about financial aid stuff and he said that everything was completed and that they were just waiting on the admission decision? So I don’t know if he said that just to prevent me from asking whether I got in or not but I highly doubt that they wouldn’t have finished reading my application by now?! well I also asked when decisions would be mailed and he stated that we would get them the first week of April although I doubt that as well… I feel like I’m being trolled by the admissions office

Why is Georgetown in the Dark Ages regarding its application process and admissions decisions? There is no reason why the admissions decision should not be available online in this day and age.

^Holy Cross does the same snail mail notification, and for the same projected 4/1 date.

I would guess that they will be mailing tomorrow, based on both last year’s regular decision notification timing (on a Friday, in advance of their official notification date) and on the early-action notification timing (also on a Friday). I guess we’ll know sometime Saturday for those local to the DC area!

GT isn’t the only university that still mails decisions. We’re waiting on 4 schools that do the same.

I am hoping they mail it tomorrow!

Admissions Announcement
April 1st is the announcement date for First-Year (Freshmen) applicants.

Since April 1st is a Sunday, the notification date is Monday, April 2nd.

Decision letters will be mailed via U.S.P.S. a few days ahead of that date.

Applicants who live outside the USA will also receive an email on or about April 2nd.

Here is the link to the Georgetown’s admission site stating RD announcement date. Good luck.

Does anyone think it’s still possible the letters were mailed today? If people who live in the D.C. area could post tomorrow after their mail comes and say if they got anything that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

April 1st/2nd with letters mailed earlier. Here is the official Georgetown University Admissions Office website link:

One quick question - I live outside of the Us, but both the mailing and permanent addresses that I gave to Georgetown are in the US. Will I have to wait for a really long time for the letter to arrive, or will I get an email around the 2nd of April?

^the website says you will get it on or around the 2nd. I suspect not much after the 2nd.

@Collegedude123 As an international applicant it is very likely they will mail your earlier than the locals. Given that you have a local address means you will likely get the mail before the locals do.

Good Luck!!!
