December 2007 World History

it doesnt work, because the graph that had high birth rate also had high death rate

the undeveloped/developed is the answer. ok. good.

Thanks for your answer

Let's make a list of questions.

Meso American question ans:No animals

Egyptian woman ans:cross cultural examanation

What can be inferred: A. Greek women are different

does anyone know for sure the answer to 1600 -dominant nation (was between britain and spain) i wouldve put spain but i read that the british defeated the spanish armada in like 1590 so i put britain...think it was spain tho...damn.. and the one about a nobel prize winner from burma was??

the one about egyptian women, was it the one that said greek women did the opposite of things egyptian women did?

yeah its true but it didnt say anything about women ruling the house i think but i have no idea

i think i said something about gender differences, im not sure

and i put taj mahal :( ... btw if anyone is thinking of buying the kaplan prep book- it doesnt have any pictures, graphs or maps (maybe three or four but i wouldve prefered a bit more) id never seen hagia sophia its beautiful

I guess it should be Spain. The question was not about who had the superior navy, but who had the largest colonial empire. Ranging from Argentina to previous Mexican territories in the U.S to islands and archipelagos like the Philippines, Spain should be the answer. (With such a vast empire it is impressive the Spaniards could remain a seriously powerful nation for only a century ... we in Latin America often make jokes about the Spaniards due to their lack of ability and administration after sacking our lands...)

About Herodotus and the Egyptian women... I answered Egyptian women were equal to men ... applying SAT I CR thinking, though Herodotus is Greek the passage says nothing about the Greeks or any other civilization.

whatd you put taj mahal for... i dont think that was an answer for anything

i agree it should b spain. im quite ashamed as im from puerto rico and we were part of such empire lol... but i couldve sworn i read somewhere that the british dominated at that time, i remember it surprised me...oh well. dunno about the greek one, what about the russian ruler? i put catherine

yeah. i totally freaked out in the beginning of the test so im sure the first 5 are wrong.
but i said something about women commanding the home and men commanding religion
and then it shows about gender differences
my test center was so cold, i swear it was 40 degrees in the classroom

yup. a lot of the questions that youre probably going to ask about have already been discussed, so id advise searching the forum with the tool on the upper right hand corner

it wasnt. i put it where there was a picture, it was hagia sophia

the answer was Christian and Muslim architecture since the building was HAGIA SOPHIA not Taj MAhal. Enough with this question already.

i thought there would b more about the roman empire. there was only one question i think and it was really easy

hey when will the scores be available?

the 29th

i dont remember it. there was one about byzantine, but it was easy as well.

The Treaty of Nanking seriously did not make sense because both opening the ports and ceding Hong Kong are included as part of the treaty.

see Treaty of Nanking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

by treaty of nanking i thought they were referring to the rape of nanking, when the japanese went into china during ww2 and killed 400,000

but yeah, i checked on that question, and both of those are right.
