DECEMBER 2008 SAT Subject Test: Biology E/M

Let this thread to be the first discussion about the SAT II Biology December 2008.

I felt that the exam was so hard and tricky.

Only one question was copied exactly from Barron's Book

The one that asks about where does oxygen come during photosynthesis.

But nothing that came in the test was in any book.

I think it was all predictions.

hey... it was pretty easy right... both e and m were easy actually... but i forgot few things.. left 5 questions i guess...

I thought it was alright now that I look back on it. I can't remember any of the hard questions to look up though. Lol

hehe... i struggled a bit on the daphnia plankton question... and the snake question also...

Are you internationals? I did not have a snake question.

to me, today's biology is very hard; I already sent all my SAT i & II scores to
all the colleges I want to apply, I decided not to send SAT II Bio to colleges.

the beginning was hard, but the M part was quite easy IMO

It was harder than Barron's. :X

it was damn hard!!!! S H IT man, i was so scared! i omitted 4 tho. took M btw.

Yeah, I thought that the beginning of the test was pretty hard, but last 20 questions for the M section were relatively easy. None of the questions were insanely hard, though if you didn't know some specific things well enough, you should have been in a tight spot (like me).

Definitely harder than Barrons. There was so much less emphasize on animal function (the stuff I studied the most), that I was a little disappointed.

Guessed on 4 and took E. M was easier than E so prob E has higher curve. The core questions were really hard tho :(.

well, did u guys know when segregation occurs? it was a core question

there were so many experiment/data analysis questions! :[

.................

i did not know what a chaparral was :(

chaparral was the ones with the fire...its a spanish word, so i knew what it was :)

yeah left that one blank!

I got the chaparral one but what were the other challenging ones on the test?

the part of taxonmy with sea star and hydra...ughhh
