December 2010 SAT Math

There were at least 2 possible answers. As long as you had integral side lengths that gave one face as SA=120 and another face with SA=110, then your prism was OK.

I personally wrote in 1320.

so what was the answer to x for the median one? with the 2 lists

@kk, if you have x^2-x-6=0, then shouldn’t (x-3) and (x+2) be zero? So how does (x-3)(x+1) work?

the 5/6 fan one was 25 degrees i believe.

@orange you’re right. i hit the wrong key. my bad

The fan one was 25 degrees for sure. There were 6 divisions each time. 5/6 of 180 then divide by 6.

i think the fan is 30. there were 6 lines, but only 5 separations. i remember counting 3times just to make sure.

I think there were 7 lines with 6 separations

also:

How many integers satisfy the following

|x| < 5
|x| > 3

Apparently I have the question wrong. can someone correct? or was this experimental?
iceberg is online now

and i don’t remember the answer to the last math question of a section, but i think i put “E”… it was a question about 20 million at the end of 1990 and then 24 million at the end of 2000? anyone else put E?

I put that it was 0 since the medians were both 50.

@evil

But if there were 6 lines then there would be 7 separations.

Does anybody remember the question about the rate of change of the tomato consumption graph? I got 1/4.

pooh, the answer was E for that one - the #20.

and for the fan one, it was 7 lines, 6 seperations. (180 x 5/6) / 6 = 25.

why would it be 7? a separation is between 2 lines 0.o… so its l…l…l…l…l…l like that where the vertical lines are the lines and the periods are the separations. 6 lines = 5 separations

@314 i got 1/4 as well

I’m pretty sure zero wasn’t an answer choice for the median one.

It was like

L1 = 2,3,4,5,6,7
L2 = 1,2,2,6,6,8

It you add X to L1 and 2X to L2, what value of x would you need to make the medians equal?

I put 2.

L1 = (2),2,3,4,5,6,7
L2 = 1,2,2,(4),6,6,8

evil panda what did u put for the median one with the two lists and x and 2x

aptester i also put 2^

@FL i put “2” which was choice A

What would a -12 be on this math test? a 600?
