Which one is the 1/9 answer from?

yes it was definitely 2.
2 pushes the median of the first list to 4
2*2 is 4, which becomes the median of the second list

The answer is for sure 2
tripled checked

@ overated. the circle is a semicircle therefore it has 180 degrees. there are 6 angles. now 5/6 of that is 150. then divide by 6 to get da angles, which are each 25

1/9 was number 17 on grid in
went like this
if x/y=3
what does
y^2/X^2 equal

@ london, # 17

@londongentlemen, 1/9 is from xy^-1=3, solve for x^-2y^2

■■■ i missed i then if x=2. why did i not check that question. a;rieja;ijg;ae… ■■■ =___=

@evil

lol good memory

HUHH. the problem said it had 7 parts. the last picture was the fan fully opened, with only 6 parts. …

im pretty sure the question said 7 sticks.
7 sticks would come out to 6 angles

Huh, thanks guys. It’s not ringing any bells soooo…hopefully I didn’t have that problem.

guys, for the y= a(x-5)^2 + b one, i think the right answer is (5,10), NOT (9,10). this is because the equation is in the standard form of a parabola, and the vertex of the parabola, which is guaranteed to be on the graph, is (5,b). since there was only one choice with an x-coordinate of 5, that had to be the right answer.

@overrated, i agree. thats exactly what it did, 7 in the problem (ive been told) and 6 on the diagram. no wonder i triple counted and was so sure of my answer… but if it stated 7 in the question… i guess we hafta go by the question and not the diagram?

@airforce - don’t think that was possible. was it?

@richie: you are correct
@over: it was worded badly…the fan was not fully opened

@londongentlemen, 1/9 is the FR of ppl who had EXP math, dw about it

but feel free to refute my argument if you have an alternative solution.

this thread is like a mix of highs and lows. One second you are happy then the next second you feel horrible. i think im just going to leave and wait for december 21st…lol

@evilpanda

what was your answer then? i went by the question.

@richie…something?

how does 7 sticks have 6 angles?.. am i asking a stupid question here? o_O?

okay i think i kind of get it. if it was only open 5/6 of the way, then there would be 6 sticks. is that it? omg im confusing myself.

@NeedsHelp1212: haha agreed. i should just stop thinking about the test
