^same. why does it seem like this is the first time the tests have been so different?

@krncutiex3- I don’t remember having that problem, it may be experimental.

And I got effed by the 3x+4y=40 question. Why couldn’t they just ask for the answer to be an integer??? I put 4 haha

Does anyone know if the question where it asks, “what is the average rate of change of tomatoes/potatoes per person per year from 1980 to 2002,” was experimental or a real section?

^that was real i had it and writing exp
i would like to know the answer though

Hellomrkitty - I had it too, meaning that it should be real. I believe that my answer was either 5/18 which is .417, so then I said that it is 1/2 because that was the closest to the real thing. I’m not sure if that’s right because usually you wouldn’t need to round so much. What’d you get?

thank you very much. the answer is 1/4 because you take the rate of change, (18-13)/((2002-1980)+1), which comes out to 0.217 (closest to 1/4) =)

"what did you guys get for the big triangle where you need to find smaller triangles that can be made inside with height four "

I got 9 triangles. 4 x 2 in a 12 x 6.

What did you guys get for Surface Area for cube + 2 square pyramids.

A) 100 + 25root3
B) 100 + 50root3
C) 150 + 25 root 3
D) 200
E) 150 + 50 root3

i also got 9

and i got b for that one

@ hellomrkitty: yeah that was hard, i got 1/4 since the graph goes every 2 years… so not 1/2

Why the +1 in the denominator? I did:
(f(2002)-f(1980))/(2002-1980)
=(18-13)/(12)
=.417

or you can start at the year 1983, which was also 13, and do the average rate of change, (18-13)/((2002-1983)+1), which is exactly 0.25 or 1/4.

the one with the potatoes… i never got it. but i did have math exp 0.o

it should be divided by 22 not 12, its asking per year. the x-intervals were by two.

the graph goes every 2 years, so its 2x every interval, not x every interval. and you add 1 to the denominator because when you count the years 1980-2002, or 1983-2002, you there are 23 or 20 years, which is (22+1) or (19+1) for the denominators respectively.

Why the hell did I divide by 12?!?!?! FFFFF
Thanks cheng, clears it up for me.

how about the inequality ?
y greater than or eqaul to x^2+1?

I remember one. It was y + 2x = 2y - x
I said that the answer was 12 because it was the only one where it could be an integer.

"how about the inequality ?
y greater than or eqaul to x^2+1? "
-yes that is correct

what that an experimental krncutiex3 i don’t reemmber

@krncutiex3

yeup that was the graph that i got

my short answers were

1375
48
3/8
3
25
1999
3
1/9
7
