October 2010 SAT Math 2 Curve?

What do you guys think? was it harder or easier or normal? do you think it will be 43, 44, or 45 for 800?

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being extremely hard, 1 being way too easy, and 5 being average… this, to me, was about a 4 (slightly easier than normal).

That said the cutoff will probably be 44 maybe 45.

^ Are you SERIOUS? You must be a genius then! I skipped 7-8. And I used to score 770-800 on practice tests.

By the way, I’m an international. Would the difficulty level vary SO much?

Usually, you can still get a staggering 800 by missing 4 to 5 questions. After that, it’s around -10 to 20 per question. The curve on the test is VERY GENEROUS.

I omitted 7-8 on the November 2010 math II, and probably got a few wrong (though not a lot). I only got a score of 640! I don’t see how the curve is generous in any way, shape, or form, though most people seem to think so. Maybe they messed up on scoring my sheet.

Should I order verification services?

^Just order it… you’re obviously never going to have any peace of mind unless you do. The curve is very generous.

^will do, but they’re taking such a long time, just to send the e-mail! I hope that they did make a mistake and my score was 100+ points higher than what it actually was. This way, I’ll be really happy and I can also get my money back.

Compared to a few practice tests I took (where I regularly missed at least 5-10), the actual test felt ridiculously easy to me (got an 800). I’m wondering if that was an anomaly by subject test standards, or if the practice tests were designed to be harder than the actual thing.
