December 2014 ACT Discussion Thread

Yea the ACT is gonna catch all of us and charge us with felonies. Of course not. If the ACT saw this the only person who could get in trouble would be the owner of the website.

If a Google doc is being made could someone message me the link? Thanks.

I do find it weird that the ACT is so strict about its tests compared to the SAT.

For the equation: Wax (or any other hydrocarbon) + O2 —> H2O + CO2. This is the basic formula for a combustion reaction.

Did you guys remember if you got one colon for the english?

https://d ocs .go ogle.com/document/d/1t32HKyRcjmySNCoQPYWcGTbVDFZ8dqUboy802Mffy_s/edit?usp=sharing

One colon is right i think

Was it a dash or a colon? It was taking about silicon aerogol or sometime like that.

@APsooof can you send the link again? its not working

The equation in the combustion reaction question is A, I just had a test over this in chem

What did you guys put for the independent and dependent variable question? I think for the independent variable I put I and the dependent was Vh.

Was colon an option for that? I put comma. A colon wouldn’t have worked since it was a dependent clause before the dash. I wasn’t sure about that one because, for the most part, dashes and commas can be interchangeable.

Yeah what was the independent and dependent variable one?

You guys got force increasing for one of the spring questions right?

Independent was I and dependent was Vh because Vh was the result of the electrons leaving the side of the plate right?

I got force increasing too because I just remembered the formula for Force = mass x acceleration. But i seriously want to know what people said for the variable one too.

Thanks @thanksagain!

what did you guys get for the reading question that asked what the passage didn’t contain? for the one where the ship dumped over all the toys.

Where do you live?

For that one, I put what other items were on the cargo ship.

^^ awesome. thanks @thanksagain‌
