@Bri503 yes sir… I’m really freaking out now…

And there was one sciece question where we had to mAke our own formula. I was completely unprepared for that.
I think I put something like Vh = I/B*d but that was purely guessing.

totally guessed on that^

I put vh=IB/d
Also, 7 x 10 = 70
You over thinker the equation, there was no equation. Even if there was you weren’t suppose to use it in context. It would specify “use the equation in figure ?”

U just had to see if each letter was directly or inversely proportional to Vh

Boo…7x10 is still an equation though.no just thought that the answer was FAR TOO obvious. The other science questions needing some prodding…

@NIHHIHH that could’t be right because the passage didn’t specifically say that states "didn’t exist "

I was so lied to. I was told I wouldn’t need to know any background information for the science section yet I have know about inverse relationships that’s just wrong.

@NIHHIHH I actually thought that was one of the easier ones.
A lot of people forgot that you needed to use Punnett squares. If you didn’t realize that Mendel genetics came into play, you have already gotten 2 wrong.

@FriendlyChemist Got 70 as well

does anyone think -1 on english could still be a 36. I think I made a stupid mistake on the Frank Sinatra question (i put had sung)

guys was the dude in the first reading passage a student with an interest in music but no major or whatever?

^i think that was what i put

Seriously, though, ACT NEEDS to give more time for science. It’s just insane. With 35 minutes, there is nowhere NEAR enough time to actually understand 7 scientific research studies and fully appreciate them. There should be 45 minutes, and only 5 passages, but the same amount of questions.

@1golfer1 lol the g+g- one? Eh not really…

@1golfer1 I feel the same. Isn’t the science section a bit different than what it was previously?

A background info in science should help but it also shouldn’t hurt you if you didn’t have any prior knowledge about science. For example, I had absolutely no clue what the physics part of the science portion was talking about because I didn’t take physics but I was able to answer a few questions about it based on the passage. But the candle question was just messed up.

Did the reading pssage about maps mention the Caribbean?

I agree that candle question was so stupid. The question asking which student was correct was really opinionated.

Agh punnett squares I thought about them but didn’t use them. Darn!

@FriendlyChemist I doubt many ppl would know there were no states back then. That’s asking too much lol and it wasn’t stated in passage
