@FriendlyChemist yeah that’s what the book was about

@jooWonie

What did u put for the jefferson flower 1?

.

guys what was the answer to the last one that asked you what percentage would survive if S+ S- was mixed with S- S- at 50 or something

YES i think i got 36 on english

The Louisiana purchase occurred in 1803. The purchase was for a piece of land and it was not until later that the land was divided into states. When you put it in context: “the flowers would become state flowers, but there were no states back then.” I also put Jameson didn’t know it yet but it just didn’t seem right. I’m so confused

I think that was like 75% or something

The candle passage was straight thermochemistry. I finished that entire question set in about 4 minutes thanks to AP Chemistry.
The physics ones were the hardest and most time-consuming. I had the greatest trouble on the springs passage.

@FriendlyChemist but that was talking about the Louisiana purchase. States did exist back in the Jeffersonian Era but not the states used to make up the LP. I’m confused too about that though because it can be either way :-?

Im starting to doubt my affinity for the ACT after this test. Might consider looking at SAT

@jooWonie honestly your probably right. I may be overthinking it but I feel really paranoid right now.

the science this time was just screwed up. you actually had to have a basic knowledge of chemistry and it probably really would’ve helped knowing some physics with the spring one. being a sophmore, i’ve only gotten through a little of honors chem and i’ve never taken physics before…
anyways, can someone just clarify these questions for me?
- Frank Sinatra??
- State Flower one??
- Music Major Band one- lol who is the shawn guy even did he get kicked out?
- 2sin and 2cos one??
- Ellipse was difficult too

By the way guys, be really careful about discussing test questions directly. You can say “I didn’t get the ellipse question on math” or “The woodblock dating passage was the easiest,” but saying “One question X, the answer was (?) and not (?)” or “I put (?) for that question” is not the best idea. I do know one person whose scores got cancelled for this.

guys be careful you shouldn’t disclose any questions.

H

guys. I emailed ACT about the candle question and whose explanation was correct. I told them that it disadvantages the students who do not have knowledge about chemistry. Let’s see how they reply…

1) Neither. It was “sang”
2) That’s definately not right. It was either Jameson didn’t know it yet or there were no states back then.
3) I put the guys who’s name starts with h but i think it was the Shaz guy
4) I got pi/2 but someone earlier said the right answer was pi

it might affect us with our scoring

detailed ironboard question guys?

@cooldude1098 If you doubt yourself on the ACT, don’t pick the SAT. The SAT is easy to finish on time, but the whole test, especially Critical Reading, is engineered to deceive. On the ACT, you basically know what you got on the test when you walk out of the test room. It’s not like that on the SAT. Some of those CR questions are just dubious, and the math questions have tiny loopholes that, should you miss, screw you over.
