December 2014 ACT Discussion Thread

i did even worse than my first time…

E:30 M:31 R: 23 S: 26

math curve?

Not yet in NorCal still registered. Can’t take this

maybe you messed up your bubbling cause an 18 is…

It looks like the science curve is pretty kind.
@OrangeAndWhite You probably mis bubbled something on the reading. Order the hand rescore?

reading curve is abysmal

I’m scared that I mis-bubbled something now omg

Interesting. Perhaps something happened at my test center that I’m not aware of.

if i send this score to colleges that super score, will they see the 18 reading? or will they just take the best from each section?

If I’m still registered when will I get my scores at the earliest?

@medicaldreamer99 it’s possible you made another mistake somewhere in there too.

@OrangeAndWhite It depends how they super score it because some define “super scoring” differently. Stanford does some weird stuff that isn’t actually super scoring, for example. I just can’t remember what.

Who has the answers to know how many you got wrong? How do you know -1 is a 35 on English section?

my reading:30
arts/humanities:12
science/social studies:18(perfect)
that’s funny because the first time i took it i got a 31 with an 18 on the arts/humanities passages
no more tests for me though. don’t know if i should bother to apply to top lib arts schools without visiting and only a 29.

DECEMBER

C: 28

E: 25 (a little lower than I expected)
M: 30 (expected)
R: 32 (BIG SURPRISE HONESTLY LOL)
S: 25 (expected)

OCTOBER:

C: 27

E: 27
M: 28
R: 24
S: 27

Overall, it’s an improvement and I’ll take it!

@1golfer1‌ yeah definitely!!! But the subscore was a 17 and an 18 so I’m assuming only one off (then again I don’t know how the subscores work with the curves). But of course it would be best to hope that I got one wrong and the people who got a 36 got them all correct haha.

@mn1014‌ no it shocked me!!! I guess they already start grading them for a few people. That’s what a friend just told me.

@medicaldreamer99 I dont think it works that way since I got a 34 in english and 17 in both subscores.

I’m never getting into my dream school with a 29 :))

Yeah but that would make sense right? 17 and 17 so two wrong maybe? @racksonracks‌

Btw I’ve never done this scoring/curve analyzing before so I may be wrong
