idk guys im pretty sure there will be a better than usual curve on this reading and writing judging by all this debate.
@IneffableMind look at the link i posted above, it explains the idiom clearly
@Walaoeh
yes, i believe i had one. it was MC and one question that i remember vividly is “when you move the angle towards A, what happens to it?” or something along those lines.
It has to be compared to. There are just too many practice problems out there with compared to, and by the links you provided, compared to would work because mammals and invertebrates are different.
@splashzone10 Do you remember a question about utensils for the grid-in?
subject of the sentence is the intelligence level, not mammals and invertebrates. i know there are practice problems with compared to. also, considering that most practice tests never have this much debate over tons of questions in the writing section, i would assert that a) this was a harder than normal section and b) since it was harder, it had a different idiom
No matter how hard you try to prove that you’re right, your answer won’t change and the correct answer won’t change. So what’s the point of persuading someone to believe in you?
You already turned in the test, which you’ve probably been stressed for over 1 week. Why stress another week over the answers? You’re right or you’re wrong, it has already happened. So just move on in life.
alright, im passing this by my teacher XD
@tina23 1) some people want to know around where they’re going to get so they can be prepared and not get shocked by a bad score, 2) they want to know if most people put what they put or if there’s a lot of variation to determine how much of a curve is possible and 3) intellectual debate between people is always stimulating, and even if one is wrong and the other is right, it’s still bringing about new ideas and aiding learning (in this case, of English grammar).
^
mochilate lemme know what your teacher says
The stimulating convo is always fun.
I gave this test my everything; I will not be studying for January til I receive my scores.
So in total we have the following no errors:
Colorado visitors
Bus and Maria
The director and pans Lahrbrnth
Technology being replaced by cellphones
Octopus
Has there ever been a writing curve where the cutoff for 800 was more lenient than -3 on MC with a 12 on the essay?
what about the “them” questions
there were two sentence identification questions with “them”. were both of them no error? im sure at least one was.
I’m pretty sure both them questions were wrong
or sorry, both of them had errors. Never mind
maria and the bus had an error with would. and the technology was supposed to be “taped” or something i think it was choice a or b there were 3 no errors. and since its discover in 1930 pluto WAS (not has been)
^mochilate checked with his teacher. it was no error for both
