@collegeshopping We are in the same boat. We also have a few early action and one early decision app that we need the improved score for. We’ve only tested one other time and results were out as scheduled. Although, I think it was September that had major delays. We might be in trouble in our house it really does take until February. I’m hoping that you get yours soon.
Got my scores…this was my first time. Now need to decide between ACT and SAT
Does anyone know what the curves were like? Or do we have to wait for official score reports to be mailed to us?
How did everyone do? Did anyone get their scores? I got mine in the first batch this time, I’m v excited because last time I had to wait a few days…
Can anyone help me decide which test to take? 1100 SAT and 26 ACT
I m getting really pissed off at the ACT. My kid’s test was cancelled twice due to snow. They’ve rescheduled me for February, but my kid’s school isn’t doing the test in Feb. The closest test site for that date is about half an hour away.
And in the meantime I’m bombarded with cheery automated emails about signing up for their paid prep services.
Here’s a link to convert ACT scores to the new and old SAT. I’d also look at your percentile on each.
Sorry @pl215382 . New to site, still figuring things out and for some reason my edit didn’t go through. Heres a link to convert your ACT score to equivalent SAT. I ran yours through it looks like your ACT is relatively higher, but I’d check for
Great, thank you @GreekScholar1
Does anyone know anything about when scores come out for those that used accommodations? I took the December 9 ACT, but I was given accommodations because of my dyslexia so I took it over the test taking period of December 11-15. I don’t know when I’lol get my scores back and wondering if anyone else does!
Thank you!
My two junior kids took the December test. They never received emails that their scores were available, but I found the scores in their accounts late this afternoon. (They weren’t there this morning before I went to work.)
I’d recommend others still waiting for scores check their accounts, even if no email has been received.
@ninakatarina - Half an hour away doesn’t seem that bad. That’s how far DS and DD1 had to go for their SATs. When I had to take one of my teaching endorsement exams, I had to drive 125 miles for it! Now that’s a long way for a test!
Has anyone gotten the writing scores yet?
Anyone taking Feb ACT who would like to share tips?
My D and I just called ACT to confirm all was well since her scores haven’t been released. They confirmed there were not any issues. Her test was received, everything matches, etc. They said it was “in process”. How long does it take for them to actually score the test without writing? Does that mean there’s a good chance or score will be released tomorrow or could it still be several weeks? Last time we took at her scores were released on the first release day.
^^Your D had extra time? For whatever reason, sometimes those scores take a little longer to come out.
@wisteria100 My D did have extended time but it was over 1 day, the test was sent at the same time everybody else at the testing center tests were sent. The rep at ACat said that shouldn’t have delayed anything. I guess I just don’t understand the behind the scenes scoring process. It’s a Scantron. I don’t know how long it takes them to run that through the machine. But they said it was in process of being scored. I just checked iand her status hasn’t changed. Maybe Friday…
D19 writing score from December is on her portal this morning; no email notice. Does anyone know how to view the actual essay she wrote? (SAT provides a screen shot.) She remembers some of what she wrote but we would like to see the final product.
Anyone think I should retake a 8/12 essay?
Has anyone with a rescheduled test date received scores? My son took his test on 12/16 instead of 12/9 after a weather cancellation. I’m trying to figure out if there’s any chance of getting the score in January or if the rescheduled tests are just held until the end (which means another 3 weeks or longer).
He may want to take the ACT or SAT again in February/March but needs this score to decide what’s next.
