December audition

How many people normally attend the December 1st audition?

Just for everyone elses information this year there were about 70 kids (of which about 20 of them were guys). Best of luck to everyone!

How did it go? Would love to get an update.

It went great! the dance combo was very fast but everything else went well. Did they have anyone else sing more than there two songs?

I think about 7 people "no-showed" the first audition, which implied that the schedule got pushed up a bit. My D was in the beginning of the day and so it did not affect her much, but be advised that you can count on going on "earlier rather than later" :)

According to my D the dance audition (choreography to Legally Blonde) was easy (but she has quite a bit of training), fun, fast paced, but was rehearsed a ton before everyone finally went up in groups of 5 (twice).

The information session in the beginning was to the point and helpful. This go around there were no scheduled tours as everyone had Finals the week before. We had visited the campus on our own though.

After the dance portion, all those auditioning got to see current students perform (prior to the vocal and monologues) and D came away very enthusiastic about the high caliber and how well-rounded everyone was.

I'm just excited the choreography is to Legally Blonde!! HAHA SWEET!

What was everyone's audition like on saturday?
Did the adjudacators talk to you after your audition?

If I understand correctly everyone got asked a few questions (in D's case about her training) after their monologue and songs. I think the objective of this was to get know those auditioning a bit better; I don't think there was a right or wrong way to answer their questions. Hope that helps :).

I was asked to sing another song before I was asked why I want to be in the program.
