December SAT International Test Discussion

^Wow, I could’t even imagine that -2 could be a 740… Hope you get much better this time!

I heard that the converted scores are already set for internationals though, so it doesn’t matter how hard it is or who takes it with you? Is that true?

^ Yeah that’s true.

what about error Identifying question—lions are one of… ? 2nd from end.

Okay! Let’s keep this forum more active than ever!
To artoghrul, I put neither D nor E. Pretty sure I got that one wrong. :stuck_out_tongue:
About some other writing questions…

  • most decorated Olympic Games athlete blablabla… was it “, winning seven gold medals”
  • first Mexican to receive Nobel Prize in Chemistry… was it the one that ended in “, which made him win the prize”?
  • native town of North America … was “whose” the error?
    And some reading questions…
  • for rocks that eroded the quickest according to the passage … was it the “cliff next to the ocean”?
  • was “compose” to “form”?
  • trying to think of some more…

Some more…

  • does the use of capital letters poke fun?
  • does the introductory sentence make a dramatic statement followed by a humorous anticlimax?
  • and btw, I do believe that Mildred (or whatever his name was xD) was philosophically inclined because he did mention “fate” being “genetically determined”

Ermm I think “one of” was wrong, since mountain lions is plural and not taken as a single entity.
Anticipator:
Most decorated Olympics, I got the same as you.
Erm…I didn’t get that one. It was wordy I thought so didn’t choose it. If it didn’t have “which made him win the prize” I think it would have been okay.
Which native town of North America are you talking about?

Cliff next to ocean, yes I think.
Compose to form as well.

^I got cliff next to the ocean too
compose was form

Use of capital letters does indeed poke fun.
Dramatic statement followed by anticlimax.
Mildred? Lol wrong name but I know what you’re talking about. And erm…genetics is scientific is it not? Plus there was tons of stuff about his beliefs that people all descended from blah blah millions of years ago blah blah. Definitely more technical and scientific than philosophical I believe.

I said that the use of capital letters poke fun… yes to the humorous anticlimax as well.
I believe the problem with the lions was the “one of” for plural lions.
Cliff next to the ocean because of the salt water…
Ummm… the Mexican answer sounded weird, but it was basically the only one that didn’t try to use a comma in place of a semicolon?

Sweeeet, i said compose was to form… wasn’t sure on that one

^yep scientific…

ps was the experimental section the one with whatsisname philosopher, or the african american who loves reading?

woops… I meant scientifically inclined. Sorry :D

I’m pretty sure the experimental was the second CR.

Not sure which of the two passages that one contained.

Hope you don’t mind that I ask, but what country are you in Anticipator?

Anticipator,I am hoping that French Philosopher one is experimmental…
Dang…I got one math wrong><I thought it was asking the smallest defference between A and B…- -

I’m a US Citizen currently studying in Guatemala :]

I’m hoping the philosopher one wasn’t experimental aha, it seemed a lot easier. At any rate I’ve for sure got 2 cr and 1 math wrong now…

Oh in the student-produced responses… did anyone get an answer of 8 twice?

Yeah, two 8s for free response I think.
For the philosopher passage, there was this question about what the guy’s personal philosophy might be. Was it self isolation or self reflection and improvement?

the philosopher one is experimental

okay so i remember some math questions…

Grid in…x = 65
Total revenue = 1420
The Temprature of SAM graph (grid-in) = 8
first grid in = 90 (99-9)
The fish one = 54…im 100% sure this is right unless of some conversion of pounds
The question with a<b<c<d<e = the answer was A
the last question on first section i.e 8, t = 21
there was one question about the decimal places. Answer was 10.01
the graph of was 1.5
the x^2 - a^2 = 16…find x-a the answer was 4
the two triangle one which were similar was 10 + root 5 (i dont knw the root symbol on the comp)
the question f(-3) was -1…i believe it was the last question on the second math section
the question with x, 7x …i dont remember the answer but X was 2 and from there it was quite easy to solve…

I hope this helps guys…

Guys we could pls find the experimental section for reading i got:
The Caravan
Some french idiot talking (had no clue wat he as saying really hard)
