You could find that out right now. Run the NPC on UIUC’s website and put in 2 kids in college.

However, I bet that if your EFC is now more than twice the Pell threshold, you won’t see a dime of free-money aid from UIUC. UIUC is lousy with merit and lousy with need-based aid.

Now that you mention that you will have two in college next year, the idea of cosigning loans for D1 is even less desirable, most likely. It’s doubtful that you’d want to end up cosigning for all of your kids’ loans. And, likely about halfway thru at least one child’s education, the banks may say, “no more”…you’ve cosigned too much and you no longer qualify to cosign anymore loans. Then the affected kids would have to leave their schools.
