deciding going to UCI or not

I am glad that I am accepted by UCI for BME major. I am just wondering how the BME program in here. Is is really hard to get the class I choose?
How about the dorms? I heard that there's no wifi. Is it easy to get a single room?
Thx. o(∩_∩)o

From what I can recall, engineers don’t get many choices at UCI as far as engineering courses go…you basically take whatever’s offered. You should be able to get all the classes you need though. Other than that, sorry, don’t know much about BME at all…

As for dorms…ah, well…they are dorms after all; don’t expect anything glamorous. You will survive. Mesa has nicer rooms (based on the ones I’ve visited) than Middle Earth (where I lived). Your experience will depend somewhat on what kind of RA you get. In general though, you will meet people quite easily…if you want to that is. UCI food sucks; Brandywine’s is acceptable though. You may be able to access UCI’s campus-wide wi-fi depending on which hall you live in…but you’re out of luck if you fall out of range. There is no wi-fi in the halls themselves. That can be easily fixed by bringing your own router. UCI’s internet speeds are really good actually, and stable as well. Single rooms are kind of rare…and really expensive. Good luck! Enjoy your first year!

@oceanpartier is correct. UCI is more known for its sciences than engineers. Wifi is not a problem, i visited last summer and they equipped the whole campus with wifi.
