Hello,
I am a rising senior in high school and over the summer, I have received an offer for a paid internship where I will help an economics professor with transferring her classes into a virtual setting. It should be around 40-60 hours over the entirety of the summer but due to time issues I am unsure of whether I should do it. I plan to major in cognitive science with the hopes to pursue a career in CS and have been interning at a startup for two years where I will now be leading a team of undergrad students in a machine learning project. In addition, I will be taking history at my local community college. I am unsure if doing an economics internship will help me much especially since so far I have only done internships in psychology(last summer) and CS. I am also unsure if doing the economics internship will make me seem like unfocused since currently my application seems heavily cog sci focused. Should I do the economics internship or am I better off investing my time more in my other extracurriculars?
By CS do you mean CogSci or Computer Science?
It’s not the subject but the activity - if it is interesting and/or pays enough, and you have the time do it.
Computer Science
