Deciding where to live (Marshall)

I'll be a freshmen in the Marshall school of business this fall. But I'm still trying to decide which housing would fit me the most. I've been reading the packet and the North Residential College seemed pretty nice. Can people give me some feedback? Which dorm is close to Marshall? Where do most Marshall students stay in? How are the rooms?

I can’t speak for “most” Marshall students, but my Explore host is a Marshall student and she lives in Marks Tower. She seemed to like it there.

New/North are both going to be party dorms, so unless you plan on rushing and are okay with lots of noise…

There are a few threads about USC dorms - check those out; they have lots of information and opinions from current students as well.

All dorms are relatively close to your classes; USC’s campus is pretty small so wherever you pick is not going to be an issue.

Majority of Marshall students = Greeks; majority of Greeks = found in New/North. New/North is going to be loud, messy and generally pretty crazy, so it’s up to you. I personally wouldn’t base my housing choices on my major though since you’re going to meet people in your major in you classes; I’d pick one where the culture fits me the most.
