Decision Anxiety

Hey! Anyone else having anxiety over college decisions and just really want them so it’s all over with? At this point, I just want to get in somewhere…

Ha ha
I just stumbled on this one by you and my answer is HELL YES!!! I am going nuts. Hoping for acceptance to SUNY Stonybrook. How about you?

I am waiting to hear from my top school and I’m losing my mind in the process!

Yes, I am having anxiety over this but I am a parent and guessing you weren’t asking us parents :)) My anxiety comes from hoping we’ve done all of the right research to know which school will be a good place for my son to be. He’ll be a rock star academically where ever he decides to attend because he is hard working and curious. I’m mostly anxious about choosing the right school (happy student body, fun activities on campus, etc.) I know it will be okay, I just want him to have a wonderful 4 years.

I’m just counting down the days until April 1st.

yeah, I hate waiting :frowning:

@QMusic Me too… :-S
In order to cope with the wait, I’ve been binge watching college vlogs from the universities I’ve applied to, and acceptance reactions on Youtube. I think I have a problem.

I am a dad but I know my son is going nuts as well. He feels so unsettled not knowing where he is going. So many of his friends already know and social media is always buzzing with new acceptances. His top choice will not tell him until April and it is upsetting. This is such a traumatic process. As a parent I wish the process was smoother and offered more options for kids. wish upon a star.

@YoHoMoKo I do that too! Didn’t know if I’m the only one. This is how I cope with waiting anxiety: watch Youtube videos of the schools I want to go to, poke around their websites, check the College Confidential forum of the school, and watch reactions to acceptances. It unhealthy! lol
