I thought there was some law somewhere that said colleges had to notify by April 1st. Is that jus in my head?

littlepolitician: Just like with taxes, if the required date falls on a Sunday, the requirement is waived until the next business day.

Anyone get any mail today?

so if california doesn’t get their stuff on monday, does georgetown get in trouble or something?

Is there really such a law? Doesn’t Notre Dame say that applicants will receive notification by April 9th?

There’s no requirement or “law” that says you have to receive your notification by a certain date. It’s based on custom and practice and some “informal” coordination of various colleges. i am suce that NACAC also may have assisted in the coordination efforts over the years.
Another thread has posts announcing receipt of Georgetown acceptance letters in Maryland today. Good luck everyone.

I can vouch for that! All my VA, MD, and DC friends (including myself) got the decision letters on Thursday!

Thoughts on when I might receive my letter? I live in Albany, NY.

California’s feeling a long way off from DC…no letter here. ;(

this question is kinda unrelated to this topic but i was wondering if any of you guys know the difference between your Georgetown ID number and your application ID number? I was put on waitlist and i need this info to fill out the wait list form
