Rejected from Mellon and Dietrich :(

Yeah I submitted all of my required aid documents and my Where Am I in the Process page shows that, but it says to check back once everything’s complete.

IN
only applied to tepper as int’l

Admitted by MCS and waitlisted by DC…but how come i still cannot open the Admission Decision Letter-_-

ok so it’s just the problem with Chrome…Congrats to all who get in!

I got into SCS, CIT, and IS! Beyond ecstatic.

Waitlisted at SCS and ECE, accepted into any other engineering major and Tepper… Kind of disappointed honestly.

Accepted in MCS and CIT

Priority waitlisted at SCS, this is depressing…

My DS got WL in CMU (SCS) and Harvey Mudd today and Denied @Olin. His candidacy (including all) is very very top of the line and are surprised that so many negative results so far:(

ParentNH,i am getting results like that too, i am thoroughly disilusoned with college apps…

NOT ACCEPTED
NOT ACCEPTED

?

gl to all

(Priority) Waitlisted CIT, damn.

My financial aid thing has a blank next to “Student’s W-2” section. But I don’t think I have a W-2? aggh. Should I email them and ask if it’s required?

@ParentNH I am sorry to hear about your daughter’s recent results. But keep in mind that rejections only mean that she is applying to schools that are at or above her level; if you get in everywhere you apply, you probably aren’t reaching high enough I’m sure your daughter will get into some excellent schools, and she will be happy wherever she ends up going…everyone says it, but it’s usually the case.

Parent NH: I totally understand where you are coming from! My son was rejected from MIT, waitlisted at Olin and thankfully accepted at SCS at CMU. This process is horrible!
He also had top credentials/extracurriculars/volunteering ect… We too are very disillusioned with this process. If you want to PM me feel free- we are in NH too!

@PA-C Keep in mind that a waitlist at Olin is a guaranteed spot next year if your son would consider taking a gap year or doing one year elsewhere. A waitlist at Olin is MUCH better than a waitlist somewhere else because you have the choice of attending there – just not this year. :)

That said, CMU is awesome! Congratulations!

I am just fully realizing what the waitlist means…thinking about everything…hard to make any decisions without financial aid info.

@PA-C: so have you received FA info from CMU? If so how’s it? Our record shows “processing not completed” although there’s been no pending doc since a long time ago.

Did anyone who found out they were accepted online not get a letter yesterday?

i wish i was a female in engineering…then i’d have gotten in…affirmative actions…
