Hey guys, just wanted to hear what you guys have to think about my situation. I am currently going to be a junior at a state school with a business school that is ranked in the top 40 for business. My school’s reputation is not very good and is known to be a party school, but has a decent business school. I am currently majoring in finance. However, I was just accepted to major in economics and mathematics at Georgetown. This is one of the most difficult decisions I will have to make. I have a bunch of good friends at my current school and will be living in a house with 18 of my good friends, however I can’t decide whether I want to transfer to a better school to challenge myself further and gain more opportunities. Any input/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Have you re-read your ‘why I want to transfer to Georgetown’ essay recently? that might help remind you of how you were weighing up the pros and cons before you faced into actually making the transition.
