Decision Time?

NU President gave a state address today and said the decision would go out next week. So at least you know it's sometime NEXT week. You guys don't need to keep coming back tomorrow or Saturday.

Hopefully it is early next week, the wait is killing me.

ya, early next week could be possible.

....i stole that one ;)

I hope it's not on 26th.. 2 rejection letters in one day = physical + mental breakdown.

How do the notifications come out? email? snail mail? big envelope?, little envelope? just want to be prepared and give myself just a little more to worry about.

let me guess kace0619 BERK and NU the same day eh? same here. sucks dude.

even i have cal and NU :/

a rejection from both would suck....

In regard to admissions, I’m pleased to report that despite a challenging environment, applications for undergraduate admission once again set an all-time record this year, with 25,395 total applications. We also took several steps in an effort to increase the enrollment of minority students in the incoming freshman class; the results so far are very encouraging – a 53 percent increase in applications from Latino students and a 26 percent increase in applications from African-American students. Our acceptance letters to all admitted students will go out next week, and I’m confident that we will enroll an exceptionally strong class of first-year students. We also increased our budget for undergraduate financial aid by 10 percent in order to help new and continuing students afford a Northwestern education.

Yay! Just a few more days now... shivers with excitement and fear<wow, that was lame...

i'm so nervousss!!!!

If with a miracle, I end up getting in, then I'll know that I can also walk on water and turn water into wine

Good luck to all, it won't be long now.

Ah, I am so anxious! However, I just don't get it, why are Native Americans ALWAYS forgotten about?? "a 53 percent increase in applications from Latino students and a 26 percent increase in applications from African-American students"????? What about me, the Native applicant? I guess we are just irrelevant in the admissions process.....I'm not complaining, but I just hate how everybody forgets.....

we all just need to wait a tad longer..i am sure we crazy bunch of people are gonna end up at the right place and after a few months, read these same posts and wonder how insanely crazy we were when decisions were round the corner..

@dpattzlover: I'm guessing that there just wasn't as significant of an increase in the number of Native American applicants; I doubt that they'd forget to include that if there had been.

^ agreed..i am sure that's the reason.

Wow...One week...Alright well it will be what it will be. Good luck to all!

does notification comes out in email? cuz thats what i heard

LOL dpatt. As a Native myself, I thought the exact same thing.

I'm really hoping I get in, just worries about money. How is NU with money?

I just thought it interesting that there were 4, yes 4, Natives in last years entering class. That's a negligible percentage so hopefully it'll give us an extra boost. LOL.
