decision was made...

I called to check the status of my app today, and they said they had reached a decision!

so my question is, do they send out decisions as soon as they make them... or in batches?

Just wondering when was your app complete? thanks

mik87, if they said their decision was made today, u should hear back in 4-7 days depending on where u live i think.

thanks jarrell- x, my app was complete on january 7th although i applied on december 12.

Well my D called U.Mich today, and was told that no decision had been made yet; while she was making that call, I went out to the mail-box, and the acceptance was there!!

Congratulations Chocoholic. Hopefully, your D will join the Wolverine family.

I think, though I wouldn't swear by it, that letters go out late Thursday or Friday.

so i'm guessing they send them out in batches? because i've heard that a lot.

ok, i called them again to ask, and asked about my status just to double check... and they said a decision hasn't been made! the woman said that they sent something over recently requesting some additional information.. what is THAT supposed to mean?

Did you ask her what information they were requesting? This sounds strange. Maybe she was mistaken. But it could be a tiny bit of information that you can easily rectify. Still, I would call tomorrow again today and just tripple check. If they tell you that they sent out a decision, ask them if they are sure because you were told that it was a requrest for additional information. If they tell you it is a request for additional information, ask them what it is so that you can start working on getting the information they are requesting. The way I see it, it is either an acceptance and the lady you called last night was mistaken...or it is a deferal and they are seeking more information.

Keep us posted and let us know if you need any advice.

What's the number to call to find out if they have made a decision?

(734) 764-7433

deferred. that seems to be the popular decision amongst many applicants these days... oh, well, it's better than a rejection, although i don't think my senior grades will help much.
