Decisions 2009-2010

BU decisions are online tonight if anyone is interested.

whatever…

Nickeatworld,

I know me too. I’ve been camping at the mailbox too and the mailman has bonded with my parents. HA HA Let me know if you hear anything kay! Thanks! Hey also do you know how spots were open for the BA.

I got into BU tonight

and gonabastar2009… I sure will… good luck

Hoping for good news for all other BU hopefuls

Hi Nickeatworld,

Yeah, many congratulations on BU. Also on my last post I meant to say “do you know how many spots were open for the BA”.

I think its unlimited to anyone who gets in academically.

But

I could be wrong

Nickeatworld, congratulations on BU. My son got accepted there too. We are not certain at this point whether he will end up attending BU or Tisch.

You got accepted at NCSA right? I’d be surprised if you didn’t end up going there…

Hi My D in too!!!
And looks like it might be affordable, BU Grant $

Be sure to ask BU if the financial aid award is for all four years, provided that your financial situation at home stays the same. I know a young woman who got in with a very very nice scholarship indeed last year, but when she inquired, was told it was for the first year only and they couldn’t guarantee that they would renew the scholarships.

We will ask,
DePaul says it is for all 4 years in writing.
My son finishing at Ithaca, there they said it was year to year, and the good news there was that as he proved to be a great student they increased his awards each year, and he was able to apply for scholarships that were for juniors and seniors. The cost of his education went down each year. So everyone, tell your kids that it pays to get good grades…

We received a grant offer from BU too. Not a huge one, but one that would be a real help. NotMamaRose, is it common for grants not to be renewed after freshman year?

Here in this BU folder, Investing in Your Education, it says grants are based on need year to year, and “priority given to those students with the strongest academic records” so it says…

I graduated from there in June of 2008, i’m sure i know your daughter. what is her name?

wow, you guys are awesome getting into all these schools. i haven’t heard anything except a rejection from calarts. but i guess they’re already sending out recommendations for uncsa? i soooooooo want to get in there! calarts and uncsa are my top 2

Who are you asking about, daughter where?

I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear. that was directed to NotMamaRose who had a daughter who graduated from my same performing arts high school

Cbrown, I PMd you. :)

Big day today! No from Ithaca but YES from Hartt!!! BFA - Acting

Regretfully not accepted to USC. I will try again later and for more schools. I have learned so much on this forum in the last month. Thank you to all who have given such great advice. For now I will look for plan B and I will keep the faith. I definitely know everything happens for a reason!!!

Im so sorry gonabastar!!! I wish u the best of luck!!
