Decisions Decisions

Long story short.

I filed a formal petition to have a "WU" replaced by a "W" and was expecting it to go through. (i had well supported, documented evidence and everything) so i assumed it would go through and left the grade as a "W" on my UC application.

Found out this morning that my petition was denied on a small technicality.

When should i notify the UCS (UCI, UCD, UCSB, UCSD, UCLA, UCB) of this? And should i mention the reasons why im making this update so late (the reason stated above) or do they not care.

I've been told to wait until AFTER decisions have been made, but that sounds kind of shady.

Anyone have any advice?

I really appreciate any help!

I would notify them now, most likely they wont care about it and its always better to get out in front of these type of things. How mad would you be if you waited and they rescinded you because you didn’t tell them until it was too late? Waiting to tell them after acceptance sounds shady to me too.

Ok, that’s what i was thinking as well. I just want to make sure i’m maximizing my chances in every decision haha.
