I just wanna ask has any international student received a CONG email yet?

Accepted in St. Louis!!

I was so nervous. Our mail didn’t come until nearly 5pm and I was waiting for it all day.

Congrats to all those who got in and good luck to those who haven’t heard yet.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Mind if i ask your SAT?Thanks

the mail sucks, I got nothing in NJ

Just got up and checked my e-mail. Accepted to Vanderbilt. Any idea when the financial aid packages will arrive?

No letter in WA.

Ahhhh too many waitlists and rejections today… still haven’t heard from vandy though. My friend got in (National Merit she def deserves it!), but just because I haven’t heard doesn’t necesarily mean I didn’t make it. Got into WashU and Wesleyan… maybe Vandy fingers crossed

But everyone, STOP FREAKING OUT IF YOU DIDNT GET A LETTER! breathe, and remember that a lot of ppl who got their letter also got waitlisted or rejected. so its not like they just weren’t willing to pay for quicker mail for the rejects.

I still haven’t received my letter yet…and someone else from my state has so this kinda makes me nervous. I had some sort of hope but after seeing the stats and acceptance rate, I definitely am losing hope fast, coupled with a rejection from Duke earlier today. Tomorrow’s mail is gonna be a long wait throughout the day :(

I sympathize, fullofheart, 'cause I’m in the same position. Got rejected by Duke and haven’t heard from Vandy yet, though I take heart, and hope you do as well, in the fact that people are getting Accepts and Rejects at about the same speed, so one way or another, we should both know tomorrow.

The best of luck to you. Actually, since we’re competing for the same spots, the worst of luck to you :)

well, just got my email saying… I AM IN!!:D

are you an international soundwave?

Nothing in the mail in Springfield, Illinois. Is the e-mail notification for admitted students only?

Yes, I am an int’l. And only int’l get the email notification

Hahaha benandorf good luck to you too. The Duke rejection was saddening, but deep down I knew it would happen. I know that all decisions are coming out at the same time, so I’m not worried about that, I’m just super anxious. The first time I checked the mail, there was nothing, and the second time, I paused and collected/braced myself like I always do when I’m expecting something from a college, and then I realized that the mailbox was open! There were like two bills inside, and then I was freaked out and I searched the street and stuff, and found nothing. So hopefully it didn’t blow away in the wind hahahaha.

If i am an international student currently in the United States, Will I still get an email notification? I guess the question is if I don’t get one, does that mean I am rejected? Thanks!

Well, I guess if you applied as an int’l, you might get the email.

But not really sure, like if you wrote your address in US on the Commonapp, maybe they will only send you a mail instead?

I’m not really sure about the time issue, maybe they get lots of emails to send and it needs to take some time?

A student at my school got an acceptance letter this afternoon but I checked my mail this morning and received nothing. Bad sign?

Small, thin envelope arrived in Hawaii today. Plenty of other acceptances, so I wish all of those accepted to Vandy a wonderful four years.

2 students at my schools got letters in the mail today but i havent yet either

im so nervous

Backtoboston: I’m from Hawaii too. What school do you go to and what are your gpa/sat/act if you don’t mind disclosing? I’m in Boston right now and I come home tomorrow so I won’t find out till tomorrow. I’m pretty sure I got the same letter as you though.
