How do decisions come out? by mail or e-mail? or both? Or does it depend on the university?

Depends on the University. Any University that sends you an email should also send mail, though it could come a few days later.

Yes it depends, eg. USC use snail mail and no email

I would say most colleges send via "snail mail," but I have heard of several colleges even text messaging their acceptances! iVinshe is right though--usually if they e-mail you, they will follow up with an actual letter.

i would much rather open a letter than click a button that will tell me my fate. i think larger colleges/universities are more likely to use email or an electronic page, but definitely depends on the school. they should tell you, or it should say if it will available online, though.
