Wow I can't believe you got the letter in Indianapolis already, still waiting in KS.

For the internationals again: in case you haven't heard yet, if the leeter does not arrive soon, Caltech will be sending out an email on Tuesday to inform you of your status. For all domestic students to preempt any questions, no you will not receive emails.

letter getting lost? Is that why I still haven't gotten mine and I live in the Pacifc NW?

waitlisted...... :| Not my number one choice any way.....

@aerableparable
I also live in the Pacific Northwest; during the EA round, they mailed out decisions on Wednesday and it took till Saturday to reach me here. You'll probably receive your letter tomorrow. Best of luck to you (and all regular decision people)!

Any international ?

Nothing here :( ... no fedex dudes :( i'm soooooo rejected... feck :(

Holy crap, it's that time of year again?

Good luck, all :)

my friend got in. she is an international. she got her decision by fed ex like 3 hours ago. good luck to everyone!!

thinned :(

better luck with hmc/mit i hope

so when are they sending email tomorrow?

waitlisted. ill pretty much take that as a rejection though. its ok since caltech wasnt one of my top choices. congrats to all those accepted.

if all of the ppl to whom caltech isn't the first choice didn't apply.... to us who really want to go to caltech, life would be so much easier. and if caltech wouldn't look at you financial situation ofc. (that is soooooooooo stupid.. you get rejected because you don't have money.. gr :/ )

Accepted here in Texas!!!!!!!!!

foo182: but that is not how life works.
even if caltech isn't some people's first choice doesn't mean they aren't going to go.
and if most people who apply to caltech have caltech as first choice, caltech'll have higher percent of people going out of the admitted and they'll simply admit a lot less students since their class size is only 225 (so maybe they'll admit only like 300 intead of 675?) So, it's still not very advantages to anyone.

I got accepted too. If I didn't find anything about scholarships in the acceptance folder, does that mean I don't get scholarship? Or does that letter come separately?

My son also got accepted. I called Caltech today; financial aid information will come in two weeks (mid March).

So, a Stanford reject is a Caltech admit.

rainynightstarz: yeah, i get what you mean i realize it myself... i'm just a bit bitter about all this heheheh ;) xkcd - A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language - By Randall Munroe FTW! :)

after these couple of days i guess i know how emo kids feel hehehe

i have a question... if anyone knows the answer it would be great.. is there any way to make a college to change it's mind?

^^Navidad, same with me. Stanford SCEA reject, Caltech RD admit.
