Decisions Soon?

S got his acceptance letter today (Maine).

Dont worry. According to their site, they haver recieved my mid year report either and mine, like yours as sent out 3 weeks ago. But I got my acceptance letter in the mail on Thursday, so clearly they don’t need the mid year report in order to make a decision on you.

i just got my acceptance letter today. I’m so happy

still nothing :(

thisgirlisaG-they don’t need midyear reports to make a decision. A couple of my friends were accepted to UR without UR having their mid year reports.

I got acceptance without my school sending the mid-year yet.

thanks, guys :] hopefully, an acceptance letter is on its way then, lol.

Anyone in the midwest hear anything yet? We were really hoping for positive news from UR this week but we haven’t heard a thing. Not looking good.

I think UR is sending out acceptances in waves, probably up until April 1st. Only a few people in my school have heard back, and my school should have more acceptances. Just to give you an idea, around 10 people were accepted to UR ED. The UR is one of the most popular colleges at my school. Basically, even if you haven’t heard/don’t hear this week, theres still plenty of time to receive an acceptance.

Ahh, Chile, where I live, experienced 8.8 magnitude earthquake today…I guess postal services will be even more delayed :(

Jamiecago: so you are okay? 8.8 is HUGE! I grew up in the San Francisco bay area, so I’ve experienced a few smaller ones.

Delos - I’m midwest, and I’ve heard back. I’m also a finalist for the renaissance scholarship so I may have gotten it sooner?

Several years ago, the Renaissance finalists were in fact notified before the regular admissions letters began going out. So yes, shay_888, you may have found out earlier because you are a finalist.

My son was accepted on Friday, February 26th. He was informed that he will be interviewed for GRADE program which is more competitive. Haven’t heard from the Education Program yet though, and when I checked his status online it said “incomplete”. The GRADE program is a 5 year program that culminates with an MS in Education.

My son was sent a letter of acceptance on Friday. They mentioned that the next step was an interview for GRADE program. When will he be contacted about the timing of the interview? I am anxious about making travel arrangements due to financial constraints. Thanks in advance for your help!

@voce: I would call up URoch and ask. It can’t hurt.

Ahhh still waiting for a letter on Long Islandd… hopefully tomorrow =]

AVHS Dad: Yeah my family and I are all okay, although my house is a mess. The tremor was so strong that I thought my house was about to collapse. Would have been pretty bad to die just after you worked so hard for colleges :)

Great! Good luck with UR!

Do you think they’re sending out decisions in any particular order? Like acceptances first and then denials? I’m on Long Island and they just updated my application status saying they received my midyear grade… I hope I hear back soon!

I came home today, and found a letter from UR. I was pretty excited, and thought that it would be an acceptance letter.

I opened it, and it turned out to be from the financial aid office, dated January 29 2010. :(

To be fair, I live on the other side of the planet, but the letter wasn’t sent by airmail… so it took over a month to arrive. Hopefully the acceptance/rejection letter will be sent by airmail.
