UChicagoPSAC, does that mean that FA letters will be out soon afterward, or will we still have to wait until ~April 1?

At this time I am not exactly sure when FA decisions will be released (the College Aid office and our office operate separately) but will let you know if/when I know.

I just found out that I forgot to write a letter to the admission office about my interest in UChicago…

hmm, UChicagoPSAC, Will deferred student be treated equally with RD students? or Is there a note on my folder saying “deferred”?

oh good god.

I’m so excited :D

Good luck everyone!!!

Well, anyways, CONGRATS ON BEING DONE. I can’t believe the admissions office finished THAT MANY applications in a shorter amount of time than last year.

@neogop: I think they must have rejected many applicants without a second look of their applications materials.

You’re probably right, but it’s still a huge accomplishment. A 42% increase? That’s got to be a record. Then doing it in a shorter amount of time than last year? Even if they rejected a whole slew of people without a second look, they still have to look at the entire application, which isn’t exactly a quick activity. They’ve got 4-5 essays, a transcript, SAT/ACT scores, and three recommendations. That’s got to take a good 20-30 minutes per applicant… not to mention that they have to take notes on each applicant.

Yes! salutes the admission office

I was wondering does that mean it will come out at 11pm on the east coast?

YES! 11 on the east cost. Out of the 15 schools I applied to, I’m especially anxious for this one.

OH LORDY. tomorrow. i am not mentally prepared enough for this…
WHY WHY WHY do i have to read CC everyday?!

it is addicting

sooooo nervous!

Holy !*@#. I have to get up early on Saturday morning, so I really shouldn’t stay up until eleven… but I won’t be able to sleep unless I know… :(

At least we know an official day now. Huzzah for that. And kudos, of course, to the admissions office for taking the time to look over all those applications.

good luck everyone!

Decisions will come at 8:30 am here. I usually sleep at 5-6 am. I dunno if I’m supposed to sleep late or wake early :P

…What? Why would you even bother to say that? We both know that it isn’t true.
