Decisions to be released on March 15th?

So, I just found this article [Record applications make major gains in diversity :: UC Davis News & Information](http://www.news.ucdavis.edu/search/news_detail.lasso?id=10481) and toward the bottom, under “Offers of Admission” the article says “Admission notifications will be released for all freshman applicants on March 15 and for transfer applicants on April 19.”

It seems legitimate, given that it was posted on the UC Davis News and Information website, but if it’s true, why wouldn’t they just directly tell applicants this, rather than being all vague and telling us to check our portals in “mid to late March?” Seems weird to me.

But whatever, just thought I would let other applicants know what I found. Looks like I am going to be a nervous wreck next week, waiting for Friday. Lol…

Wow, nice find! Thanks for the info, I can’t wait for next Friday…

April 19th can make or break my trip to Davis for Picnic Day! Thanks for the find!

Looks like my first college rejection is coming out next Friday! :/

don’t be so pessimistic! anything could happen!

I checked it out and it seems legitimate. One would think you would be notified of when the admissions notifications are finalized. Anyway I can’t wait till next Friday. Thanks for the find and best of luck to everyone.

i’m so scared… :S…

I’m scared too

@Thegameisreal3, it’s weird isn’t it? Both Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara have announced the days they will release decisions (or at least the day they will start), and it seems like if Davis has a day planned, they should just tell us. No reason to make us develop an anxiety disorder with all of the compulsive portal checking. But now we know anyway, and maybe they have their reasons, I don’t know.

And to everyone who thanked me, you are more than welcome, finding this was a complete accident, but I’m glad if it helps. Good luck

@tigerash Thanks, but I just dont see it happening. Im just not as qualified as other prospective students.

Wow, April 19th? All the schools I applied to are late April -____-

Thx for your information. It is weird. Since they already decided the date to release decisions, why wouldn’t they tell applicants through email like UCSC and UCSB?

Does anyone know the exact time the decisions will be released? What time have they usually been released in past years?

You can get your decisions at any time that the Admissions office is open (between 10am-4pm).

So it won’t be 12 AM like some other UCs?

What do you mean anytime? Like you call them and just ask?

Beware the ides of March…

@ vulpesinculta: no, I mean you will get an email anytime from 10-4pm from the admissions office regarding your admissions status.

Aw man I wish it was at midnight

Wait, which UC’s have decisions released midnight tonight?
