ALI- did you get the letter before link appreared then?

Just called UMich. A decision will be made in the next week or so, possibly even longer. It's taking so long!

*** possibly even longer, what the hell is umich doing. Kids want to decide where to go to college sometime beforre MAY 1...

Yes I got a letter before they posted the link. But I am in somewhat of a different situation as I got a call from someone at UMich telling me that I got a scholarship before I even knew I was accepted. Of course, I knew I was accepted after that call but I got my letter in the mail a couple days after (I live about 20 minutes away from Ann Arbor so the mail comes really fast from there). A day or two after that my decision was posted online.

wow thats suprising they would defer you, and then give you a scholarship..guess thats umich admissions for you lol..

Just called this afternoon. Was told that the latest people could expect to receive their decisions is towards the end of April. They are still working on decisions and last ones should be finished by mid April (whenever that is). When I call about a month ago I was told to expect a decision mid-April. Hopefully everyone gets theirs soon so we dont have to wait any longer.

any word on whether decisions will be posted online or sent in the mail?

i was wondering the same thing, but i heard that decisions wont be posted online or something

im not waiting anymore for ross early admit. sending my deposit to duke. umich is ridiculous with these late april notifications.

If I don't have it by April 15th I'm going to commit to Maryland. I'm not waiting until the end of the month. It's not fair to me.

i agree. why do they have to take so long to make a decision?

wow end of april. That is ridiculous. umich is being really selfish, do they actually think anyone will go after they treat kids like this.. If i don't hear by the 15th, im going to uiuc..

I'm pretty sure UMich is gonna drag this out as long as possible to see how many kids end up sending in their enrollment contract and from there, they'll be able to gauge how many deferred applicants can be accepted without overenrolling.

Well i am assuming the deadline for deposit is May 1st for everyone...With that said your logic on why they are waiting so long doesnt really make a whole lot of sense. They really wont know whos waiting until the last minute to commit (as many students do) and who is really not going to attend until after the first of May has passed..

I can't go to umich even if I get in and want to anyway since they have not told me :( Stupid I-20 business!! Anyways, I'll be happy at Cornell :)

Late April??? This is really becoming nuts. I want to go to UMich so badly, I'd even send in a deposit to another school and wait for Mich's decision, even if it's in late April and send in an additional deposit to Mich if accepted while ticking off another school. I'm really going crazy...I check Wolverine Access everyday as well as the regular mail. If they make a decision about you online, do they send you an email telling you to check your Wolverine Access? If they send out your decisions through snail-mail, how long would it take from Ann Arbor to New York?

Yeah, they send an email to you if you're application status has been updated.

this is kinda sick! thats what i use to do with cornell QNYergl and i got in !! xD

If this is true, then send in confirmation of your enrollment at another school, and let Michigan open up a spot for another applicant. It's people like you who the university is waiting on.

this is what UMICH wants, they want to delay people's decisions for so late that they can let other people who dose not have good stats that will not be normally be admitted to UMICH. thats why UMICH is doing this.

I got kinda mad, but so i applied to France and Spain schools cause tehy are rolling
