According to someone in undergrad admissions, deferred applicants or applicants yet to hear should not expect a decision posted online, regardless of whether it is an acceptance, rejection or waitlist as of recently. All decisions will be sent out by mid-april via mail.

oh...

"The Message I have entered is too short"

I'm not sure if what she told me was entirely correct. If you were deferred and receive a decision online, feel free to dispel this myth.

i think all deferred students will hear around the same time...

April 15th is awfully late to mail decisions!!

they're still posting decisions online. got mine today- waitlisted.

collegequest, What were your stats?

SAT I- 690M, 710 V
SATII- 650- english lit, 650 or so-Math
I'm international, so I don't have a GPA but i'm in the top5 of my class.
Reccs were good, I imagine, and I have varied ECs

Some people told me my chances looked good, but my toefl scores went in VERY late, and my application wasn't completed till then, so 'Waitlist' wasn't a complete surprise.

your SAT scores are pretty good!

what country are you from?

I'm from India

oh....dude i'm indian too, but i came here 4 years ago.

your verbal score is damn good for an indian living in india.

just got my deferral letter in the mail today. I cant say Im surprised since i didnt get my app in until late february. Not sure what this means as far as my chances go. Anyone have any ideas? Is this good since I didnt get rejected, or just delaying the rejection till mid april????

deferred????? Its April 5th and they're still deferring people????

I find it very hard to believe that they are still deferring people. Perhaps, you mistook a waitlist for a deferral?

Anyways, I'm definitely surprised collegequest was waitlisted. This isn't looking good.

wow, lol what is happening still deffering??

i was also very shocked to see collegequest deferred. That has made me very pessimistic now.

if people are all ready getting waitlisted, does that mean they are full and are not accepting anymore?

that could be the case. :(

I'd like to know the answer to that question as well. Although, I doubt it's true. Alexandre? Hoedown? Anyone know?

Then again, wouldn't they just have waitlisted or rejected all of us at the same time if the class was already filled up?

naw, the letter I got was defenitally a deferral, not a waitlist. But once your deffered and they make their decision on april 15th (like i've heard) do they still post your descision on WA like usual or do they just mail a letter? I know if you get accepted it says "congratulations" on WA and if you get rejected it says "letter arriving in mail" but I'm not sure if they do the same thing when they make the deferral decisions. Anyone know for sure?

I was originally deferred and then accepted last week. There was nothing posted when I got deferred but there was a link saying I got accepted about 3 days after they made a decision.
