Still haven't heard from U Mich? wth?

Seems like everyone heard from U Mich whether they got deferred or accepted..
I still haven't heard from U Mich yet!!!!
Is this a sign that I'm getting rejected or something???
I'm really frustrated ... am I the only one going through this?
college confidentialsssssss help me.. tell me that i'm not the only one.

nearly all acceptances were on friday
you are ither rejected or deferred

flase.
i know so many over qualified people that have not heard back yet. and i have been following the other thread as well and the general consensus (as well as confirmation from the admissions office) is that they are just randomly sending out decisions. because on both days so far there have been acceptances, deferrals, and denials. i would hold in there until monday or tuesday to hear back from them(:

**** false. my bad.

There were zero defferals yesterday so Firebad may be right.

nope there was a deferral posted in the decisions only thread.
plus, just cause there were “zero” deferrals posted, doesnt mean that people didnt get them. just means that people didnt post them or they dont follow this site.

There’s some incredibly over qualified people who haven’t heard back yet. Firebat’s statement is purely speculation.

AND, I have a friend who got deferred yesterday. I don’t know her stats; she’s a family friend that lives a ways away from me. Just because there were no deferrals posted, doesn’t mean there weren’t any.

On Thursday, when all the IS kids found out, I must’ve counted 30 defferals. I have a very hard time believing there were more defferals yesterday since only ONE kid posted a deferral. Michigan’s saving the best for last, and in their case, all the rejects (in this case, defferal).

I think it’s pretty obvious that they did almost exclusively deferrals and in state acceptances on thursday and oos acceptances on friday. Who knows what will be on monday. It definitely wasn’t random, the decisions thread shows that pretty clearly. It doesn’t matter that a deferral was posted on the stats thread cause that was just made so it was probably from thursday.

sheesh. you guys take this thread so seriously. ill just leaveeee after this lol.
from the percent of people who apply, how many are members of this site?
and honestly, i wouldnt post if i got denied or deferred. it makes sense that only accepted want to say.

Did they announce internationals yet?

jink8457…I understand how stressful waiting for a decision can be, but don’t let rumors and wild speculation add to your stress level. If you wanted to take the time to scroll through pages and pages of posts in the Decisions thread you would find MULTIPLE conflicting reports by people who spoke with/knew someone in/uncle is a janitor who works near/etc. the U of Mich admissions office on how and when decisions would be released. The closest thing to a “pattern” that might have happened was that Thursday’s decisions went mostly (but not completely) to in-state applicants while Friday’s went mostly (but not completely) to OOS and a few international applicants. There is no rhyme or reason to why certain applicants have not received a decision e-mail yet. I would anticipate at least 2 more days of decisions going out next week of all varieties (accepted, deferred, and possibly rejected). There is no historical data to draw on regarding rejections since this is the first year for U of Mich with the Common App and “actual” EA. Do not read anything into your lack of a response in these first two days. It may mean something, but it probably means nothing. Don’t panic if you don’t receive an e-mail first thing Monday morning either. From reading the postings, it’s taking at least 2 hours for e-mails to arrive in people’s in-boxes after being sent from Admissions, so it could arrive anywhere from about noon through 6 p.m. Eastern time. Be patient, and have confidence in your academic record. Good Luck!!

I would kill for your optimism.

I just don’t believe it!!! I think many people will still get acceptence on Monday!!!

I like how people say things like “there were zero deferrals yesterday.” Based on what? CC? Your social circle? WOW you must know a lot of people!

CC is SUCH a small portion of the number of applicants. And for that matter, it’s the average statistics of a CC applicant are disproportionately high. Most of the people on here are extremely qualified, if not overqualified, so of course many acceptances are going to be posted. Compared with all the great stats of the people accepted yesterday, I would’ve been embarrassed to post a deferral or rejection and I bet other would’ve been too.

Or people who are just proud of getting in post and non-admits don’t. Who knows, but CC is not varied enough to be an accurate representation.

Still waiting, but all I can say is GO BLUE!!!

Michigan is expecting record number of applications, and more than half came in before Nov 1. It’s quite likely they are still working double shifts trying to finish all the EA application to meet the notification commitment on Dec 23. I wouldn’t give up hope yet.

I hope you’re right.

I haven’t heard from UMICH, either.

Is it possible that the time they release the results is due to the date you summited the application?
