hey, only TWO from my state.

OOOOH that's great.

hey, only TWO from my state.

OOOOH that's great.

those are matriculation rates... there are almost twice as many admitted from each state.

That's because Wisconsin has a population of like 10.

Haha jk. But seriously, considering the number of people from Wisconsin who probably apply to Yale, I doubt that number is toooo bad... maybe.

wow, mistofthekane, just WHAT state do you live in? Alaska? Wyoming? :P

mist, this is the second thread where your post appears as being posted 9 minutes after mine (9 minutes in the future)! Weird stuff... o.O

hey pianista, how do you actually get to that page? I can't find it... :/

I'm just gonna go ahead and post my decision up here 6 days early:

Decision: Rejected

So you go to Welcome to Yale College, Office of Undergraduate Admissions . If you don't know that site... I feel really bad for you ;)

Above "Residential Life" in the horizontal menu, there is a purplish link that says application status. Click that.

On the next page, there will be a link to check your application status (this is the site we're familiar with... showing missing materials). Click that link.

Click on the button that says "Log into Yale Application Status".

On the next page, instead of signing in, click on "Eli Account Login," the first choice on the left menu.

This will bring you to a page on the Yale site with the familiar header. In the main area of the site, you will see various links.

Click on the one you want :)

I think they'll provide us with a more direct link when the time comes, but it's still fun to obsess right?

^ HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHH

I lol'd

I'm hoping to be one of the 1.3 people from Iowa. Hopefully I won't be the .3 - arghhh..

mihan, Iowa admitted 4 EA last year. I don't know where you guys are getting these funny number (OK, I know, somebody created a formula....) but check my earlier post on this thread. That's what they did LAST YEAR! 4 is better than one really large person, or a person and part of another one, as you are suggesting.

The formula was (Last year's matriculated students from your state x .44444). That combines the fact that about 75% of acceptees matriculate and that SCEA acceptees are about 1/3 of total acceptees (though they are close to 1/2 of matriculated students).

^ That sounds amazingly sweet. I knew two of the four (one really well, and one just because she's from our rival highschool)...and they were pretty much amazing and totally deserved it. I guess I forgot about all of that whilst profusely panicking about 1.3, hahah.. :D

Well, anyways. QUESTION: does anyone know if will checking our admit statuses be like checking SAT scores, with a bunch of server shut downs and such?

mihan, if the past is a predictor of the future, last year the servers worked just fine. There wasn't even a hiccup when D logged in. There aren't that many of you checking, in the grand scheme of things, after all.

Hang in there all you little bulldog wannabees. I know however much we all say "don't want it", it's just not possible until after Monday. My advice: go outside for a long walk outdoors every day between now and Monday. For bonus points, go with one of your parents. They are going to miss you next year.

Anyone tried the "admitted student website" on your eli account logins? It says online decisions are closed for now. I hoped to get an early glimpse if we were accepted...so did anyone else see the same thing?

^ Yep Yep.
