Declaring a Major Upon Application at Tulane

Hey everybody,
I am beginning to fill out my application to Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana) and I am given the choice of selecting majors.
Is it a better idea to choose "undeclared," or to choose a major?
I know for sure that I want to get a double major in International Development, but this is a fully program. This major can only be taken as a secondary major or a minor, so eventually I will need to choose another major. Should I select a primary major, such as international relations or environmental studies, or go for "undecided"?
Thanks much!

It really doesn’t make too much difference. Tulane isn’t like a lot of other universities in that you aren’t accepted into individual schools (except for architecture). Everyone is accepted into Newcomb-Tulane College which is the umbrella for all the schools, and you are free to choose which fits you best either right away or wait until the end of your second year. They just like to get an idea what you are thinking of doing, so you might as well go ahead and put what you are interested in as of now. But if you change your mind after a year or so, no big deal. Tulane makes switching majors really easy.

Thank you, fallen chemist!
