<p>I have a 35 ACT, 710 CR, 710 M, and 720 W. I think that my ACT is really good and would help me in my app.
However, upon taking the SAT IIs, I got 640 Chem and 670 Math II.
Do you think these subject tests will decrease my chances too much? Thanks.</p>
<p>Nah since those are optional send ins, I think your primary test scores (SAT AND ACT) are most important. But I am not 100% sure.</p>

<p>I have the exact same problem as you - good SAT/ACT and SATII scores extremely similar to yours (680 Chem 680 Math II). I just submitted mine anyways.</p>
<p>I had mediocre SAT IIs too but it shows initiative that you even tried them</p>
<p>I think if you’re applying to the Ivies or really selective universities (like Rice) then it might hurt your chances slightly, since their average is probably higher than what you got.</p>
<p>But I’m sure your other grades will make up for that :D</p>
