Oops, didn’t do as well as I had hoped on my SAT II’s. I took Chem, Math 1 and Math 2 and got a 670, 690 and 600. Unfortunately, I can not do anything about these scores. I have signed up to retake them in November, but that will come after the early action deadline for most schools.
Perhaps a better question is how much Subject Test scores weigh in your application. If the rest of my application is competitive, will these scores lower my admission chances significantly?
Those scores will hurt you, tbh. Hopefully if you do better on the next tests, they will superscore for you. I assume you are applying to safety and match schools.
Of the eight Ivies, you might want to see how many even require SAT2s. The majority do not.
My original plan was to apply to Stanford EA, and at this point, I might just stick with that plan, and send the Ivies RD.
@Lindagaf Yeah, I’m only going to apply to Stanford EA, and will definitely do better on the upcoming tests to send to the other schools. Also, I do have safety schools and match schools.
@T26E4 Yeah, that’s true. By the time I apply to them, though, I will have had an opportunity to retake the tests, so hopefully by then it will help my application instead of hurting it.
