Well, I'm applying to Exeter because I liked it most out of all the schools I looked at, which includes St. Paul's, a small school (which I kinda disliked horribly, for some reason). Ok, scratch that, I freaking loved Exeter! And I've been stuck in a tiny school for my entire life, I'd rather not go into another small school for the 4 most important years of my pre-college life.

I would hardly call SPS tiny. In terms of acres its bigger than exeter actually, a lot better sporting facilities also. Well hopefully your not applying there, cuz they can usually sense that sort of thing which isn't great if you plan on getting in.

I meant student body size. I know that it's a heckuva lot bigger than Exeter. 2000 acres or something. I went there, actually, and I was originally going to apply, but then I figured I'd be happier with my public high than SPS. The interview guy didn't like me anyways, and I, well, didn't like the place in general. No offense to people who love it. It's just not the place I want to spend the next four years of my life. After literally days of research and googling, and talking with old teachers and parents, I decided that Exeter was the place to go. If not there, then Andover or Loomis Chaffee.

i think sps lovers would be glad to see that someone who doesn't really prefer to go to sps is making the right choice in not applying there in the first place. it raises our own chances of getting in LOL

good for you nasa

Lol yup westcoast!

Lol, your welcome. And now that you've said that... no, nvm. I would still go to Lawrenceville if rejected everywhere else.

hey im applying to deerfeild too
how should I explain if last year i was a straight A student but this year my grades are pretty bad and that is the resaon why I want to leave, but i know that if I did get into Deerfeild i would keep my grades up??
I NEED HELP
hahahaha

i’m almost finished with my deerfield personal essay but i realize ive written 1000+ words… is that too much?

@twentynine29 Just because the space goes on and on, doesn’t mean you have to lol. I would try to break it down to 600 words. You have to take in consideration that the AO’s are reading over 2000 applications. I’m just like you, once I start writing I tend to not know when to stop.
