Does anyone know the general stats over the past few years for the acceptance rate for deferrals?

Also, what kind of extra information should a deferred student send if he is still very interested in the school? i know things like new test scores and midyear reports; does anything unusal come to mind?

try to do something unique like submitting your updated info in the form of asking someone out to the prom(already been done at Hahvahd) but Pton might be worth a shot

I think they've had their share of "unique" updates... things like these are so hackneyed it seems more stupid to me than 'unique'..... just my $0.02

lol... right now, i am sending in an updated, or morely a better explained, activity list... maybe an extra ref.. tha's all i have in mind.... should i send in an accordion tape if i play the accordion, what i havnt really participated in any competitions.. i dont think there are any in canada =p

that's the thing.. i never particitpated in competitions.. so i dont really know how good i am.. i have been playing for close to ten years and took lessons for 6 years...

you think i should write up an essay or something on my playing the accordion? i wrote a 100 word thing to mit and other ivies since the common app gave me the space.....

I still remember the first time when I tried to pick up the heavy 120 bases instrument the largest standard accordion. When I was eight, that monster would leave my arms sore for weeks. Maybe thats why people would always ask me if Im left-handed after I beat them in arm wrestling. Now, Im eighteen. Playing the accordion is no longer a burden, but my favorite way of relaxing after an intense swimming practice or a day at school. As my accordion traveled with me to a new continent, my playing the accordion is like a union between the Chinese and Western cultures, where the differences gradually blended together and became undistinguishable. Whether its in a duet with my father on his violin at a Chinese New Years party or a solo at a Christmas party, Im no longer surprised by comments such as wow! I never knew you played the accordion! It became something that sets me apart from others and something that Im proud of.

Well, 14% was the acceptance rate for deferred students last year, but last year there were fewer people deferred (at least, I assume so because there were more ED applicants this year). That could affect the acceptance rate for deferred students.

Do you have any supporting link for the claimed 14% admit rate for ED deferreds last year?

And is there any breakdown of the 2,039 number given for ED applicants THIS year - as between admitted (593), deferred (?), rejected (?) and withdrawn/incomplete (?).
