I was deferred from Wake and it is still my number one choice, what are the best steps to take to show continued interest for RD? Planning on writting a letter to the admissions board updating them on my senior year, wasn’t sure if that was the righty move.
I would and let them know of your continued interest.
@annacnnll Not sure if another visit is feasible (if you’re not far away.) They do value continued interest so consider visiting campus to take in a play or performance by the Theatre or Dance department, or something open to the public like that, might be good. Check the website for a calendar of events. Also update them if anything ‘positive’ happens - your GPA goes up, higher SAT score, you receive a significant recognition at the state / regional / national level, or etc. Best wishes!
If you had an interview, maybe trying emailing that professor to update him/her on your strong interest, etc.
@annacnnll Absolutely you should let the University of your continued interest! Reach out to the Admissions Counselor who conducted your interview. You might also reach out to the Recruiting Counselor for your state if different from your interviewer.
Here’s the link for each states responsibility. http://admissions.wfu.edu/contact-us/
Good luck and Go Deacs!
