Does anyone know how many students are deferred and how many of those students are accepted regular decision? Does deferral mean a likely eventual rejection or do most students are deferred get accepted RD?

In my experience, it means eventual rejection.
But maybe not!

Good luck!!

Idk, but their matriculation rate is extremely low so you should have a decent chance. Case is known as the safety for people applying to ivies and top 25 schools. Hell, I only applied because it was free and there was no supplement essay.

did you get in?!

I was deferred to regular admission too. I was told during an information session that the college defers a very LARGE number of students and that I should not be alarmed if I am infact deferred. They do this because they get so many applicants during the regular round and they want to compare you to those students. People who are saying this will lead to an eventual rejection are perhaps biased but my word comes directly from an admissions official so hopefully it carries some weight. Keep your chin up i was pretty disappointed too but im just going to hope for the best. My father always says… where ever you end up… is the place you are supposed to be. Good Luck!

just realized this was posted over a year ago… MY BAD

surajnmn- do you think you’ll get in?
