ahhhh! thanks to this message board, i knew where to check to see if i got any response from northeastern. although i did not see a large "CONGRATULATIONS" i still held out some hope. i ended up getting deferred... which doesn't make me happy, but doesn't make me too sad either. unfortunately, looking at everyone else's grades in most of these posts, i still feel inferior. i go to the 5th best public high school in pennsylvania and newsweek ranked my school (out of both private&public) 102nd. i'm not bragging, but sometimes it helps when you consider my grades amongst the difficulty of the school.

i have a 3.0 unweighted gpa, 3.66 weighted and my grade average is always an 89 or 90 each marking period.

i've taken AP European History(10), AP Language and Compsosition(11), and i am currently taking AP Literature and Composition. i got 3's on both AP tests.

last year (11), i took honors US History and honors Spanish
this year, i'm taking honors Environmental Science, honors US Government, and honors Spanish 2.

my highest math score was a 550....i suck at math
and my highest c.r. score was a 580....i suck at taking tests in general
my writing was a 620, but i dont think that makes any difference.

i believe my reccomendations were amazing, although i didn't see them. and i have had a part time job at a photo processing store where i work 3-4 days a week since the summer before my junior year. im active in some clubs, not many, but i also spend time with religious studies as well.

looking at the past records, everyone from my school with grades similar to mine got in early action last year. unfortunately, i realized this late, and faxed AND overnight mailed my application so it got to Boston on time for early action. i guess they didn't realize that by spending 20 dollars at fedeex and giving my mom/teachers/guidance staff hell, that i really wanted to go there.

so i guess my question is, i got deferred....what are my chances of actually getting in?
