essays were amazing. recs... probably average. teachers at my hs don't try too hard on them.

anyway, lots of good things (awards and such) since i first applied to gu. my gpa is kind of on the low side, but hopefully i'll make it in now? i submitted a letter of interest along with some writing samples that were both very good.

I like it that you are focused. You show a particular interest in a particular subject which is always desirable. Did you make a typo on your GPA? 4.68 UW is not possible on a 4.0 scale.

I'd put you above the 10% statistic into a good 35% +. Consider I'm a pessimist so that's about 80% for anyone else.

The 4.68 is probably on a 5 point scale. That's how my school does it too.
I think you'll have a strong chance regular decision. Of course, there's not too much that can be done to improve the situation anyways, so all that's left to do is sit back and wait haha
Good luck to you!

I always slightly chuckle to myself when people say their essays were amazing. Essays are probably the most subject piece of any application. One man's "amazing" might be an adcom's "expected cliche."

well out of 5.5 it's not all that impressive and 14% rank is nothing special. I'm afraid that GTown might have better candidates out of your region (which is not to say that your application is weak). Good luck...
